The morning is devoted to a symbolic reconciliation ceremony involving the inhabitants of the Castellazzo and Borghetto districts. In the old days, their carnival processions would regularly clash at the Old Bridge and come to blows.

 

 

 

Their leaders, therefore, accompanied by an entourage in mediaeval costumes, embrace on the Old Bridge to show that peace reigns and old scores are forgotten.

The "Alzata degli Abbà" is also repeated in the afternoon.
